Elyse Joi, is the founder, head of creative, and principal designer of Elyse Interiors, a New York-based interior design agency.  Elyse began her career as a Doctor of Psychology and quickly found a passion for Environmental psychology- the interaction between people and the spaces they inhabit.  Lighting, color choice, configuration, scale, proportion, acoustics, and materials address the senses of the individual and generate a spectrum of feelings and practices. Elyse's love of blending modern form with hints of vintage details creates chic, fresh and organic spaces. She has perfected the "art of the mix" often combining wood, metals in bronze and brass, textured wall coverings, muted color palettes with custom-shaped smoky mirrors.  Blending old and new, soft in contrast to hard-edged. It's that special mix which provides the essential history, sophistication, and elegance to the spaces she creates.
